It's been a long season, the boys have worked hard and come playoff time they worked harder but it's paying off. A 2-1 double overtime win and a 3-1 series win puts UNB into the AUS finals against the powerful, widely detested, UdeM Bleu Aigles. This team has been a thorn in everyone's side all season long, their talent has been unrivaled by any team but it's believed, almost unanimously, that the UNB V-Reds could be their waterloo. Now, since me and a good friend have encountered the fans, more than a title is on the line in the upcoming 3 game Final series. A title, and a whole bucket of pride is riding on these games. Will one team sweep? Maybe UNB and then they could take the title on their home territory, or Moncton, where if they do sweep, they'll be booed out of the Aitken center for seasons to come. Maybe it will be a down to the wire, full three game thriller. Who knows? All I know is that this guy wants it to be a two game UNB sweep because (not to sound malicious) it would do my heart good to see the mighty fall at the hands of my hometown team.
