God looked around his garden, and he found an empty place. He then looked down upon this earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest; God's garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain, he knew you would never get well on earth again. So he closed you weary eyelids, and whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone; for a part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
I watched him take the two strike call: He hadn't tried to swing at all. I guess he'd had all he could take, He walked away, for goodness sake. His father's voice was loud an' mean: "You won't amount to anything."
That little boy quit tryin', He just walked away. There were teardrops on his face. Tell me, how would you feel? You'd probably give up too, If nobody believed in you.
That old man said: "One more try" "I know I'm not too old to drive, "I promise, son, I'll do my best, "This time, I'm gonna pass the test." "Give me the keys, Dad, an' get in." His father never drove again.
That old man quit tryin', He just turned away. An' there were teardrops on his face. Tell me, how would you feel? You'd probably give up too, If nobody believed in you.
We take His name out of the schools. The lawyers say it breaks the rules. Pledge of allegiance can't be writ, An' under God, should not be said. I wonder how much He will take. I just pray it's not too late.
What if God quit tryin', He just turned away? There were teardrops on his face? Tell me, how would you feel? You'd probably give up too, If nobody believed in you.
Tell me, how would you feel? You'd probably give up too, If nobody believed in you
Listen very closely to this verse: We take His name out of the schools.
This post was inspired by a comment Dan left on Lily's Blog. The fact that we nailed the son of God to a tree and constantly denie him in our sin, but he still choses to love us, he doesn't give up, and he doesn't say that he isn't "ready to make nice". For that I am truely grateful. That shows me the awesome and phenomenal love, grace and forgiveness that God blesses us with everyday. This song represents, to me, what we give God full rights to do with our words, thoughts and actions, to just give up, quit, and spend eternity with hiself. But like i said and I can never say it enough, I am so so so grateful that he choses to stand by and pursue us everyday and love us everyday and forgive us continually. I'm thankful he isn't giving up on us.
It's crowded in worship today As she slips in Trying to fade into the faces The girls' teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know Farther than they know
CHORUS But if we are the Body Why aren't His arms reaching Why aren't His hands healing Why aren't His words teaching And if we are the Body Why aren't His feet going Why is His love not showing them there is a way There is a way
A traveler is far away from home He sheds his coat And quietly sinks into the back row The weight of their judgmental glances tells him that his chances Are better out on the road
CHORUS But if we are the Body Why aren't His arms reaching Why aren't His hands healing Why aren't His words teaching And if we are the Body Why aren't His feet going Why is His love not showing them there is a way
Jesus paid much too high a price For us to pick and choose who should come And we are the Body of Christ
Chorus (2x) If we are the body Why aren't His arms reaching Why aren't His hands healing Why aren't His words teaching And if we are the body Why aren't His feet going Why is His love not showing them there is a way Jesus is the way
Why aren't his arms reaching? Why aren't his hands healing? and why aren't his words teaching? Because we are the body, we are the hands and the feet of Jesus, so why aren't we showing it? It seems that everyone out there, more specfically christian teens, are scared to share their faith, to share the story and the power of Jesus christ. When christianity is discussed I often hear much dissapointment at this person and that person because they are not christians or have left the faith. It bothers me because people complain about those non christians but most times do nothing to help them. As it says in Romans: How, then, can they call on the one in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? This i think hits the nail on the head, we say that more should call on Jesus and accept him into their lives and live the christian lifestyle, well then....tell them about it, teach them, guide them. It doesnt take much, and it doesnt have to be all scripture quotes all nimbly bimbly. Set an example in your daily life, if you live the life God meant for you to live, people will ask questions. When people ask questions, don't hesitate, tell them why you are the way you are. Tell them what Christ has done in your life. The worst that can happen is that they ignor you. Hoping that they listen, it could lead to more questions, more answers, and possibly them acepting Christ into their life. Try it, you just might be surprised.
I'm an average teen guy with an average teen life and an avereage teen job. I am motivated by the amazing power of christ Jesus and he is my saviour. Got Jesus?
